Today, love and care are often only verbal—like a pulpit slogan. But when it comes to practice, very few actually show genuine care. Therefore, the ultimate purpose of lay pastors ministry is to provide real and practical care. Through this, both the Church as the Body of Christ and the Church as an institution receive great benefit.
The ministry of the Church should not be confined to the pulpit; it must reach the whole community and every individual, whether big or small. Once the Church recognizes this urgent need, it will naturally grow.
Three times, Jesus Christ asked Saint Peter, “Do you love me?” and each time He emphasized caring for His sheep. This carries a deep and powerful meaning—that true love for Christ is shown by caring for people.
